"My wonderful life began on October 9, 2009 when a wonderful family took me into their home. I'm so grateful for the love and kindness they have all given me. It's truly a blessing they found me.
"I have three wonderful siblings, Lily, a loving toy poodle and Ashley and Morgan my human sisters. My parents Jeff and Randi have given me so much love and all of their time and support through this difficult adjustment process. I eat like there is no tomorrow and they take me to the dog park and I get beautifully groomed every two weeks. I feel like I died and went to doggy heaven. I can't imagine my life without my family. I have to admit I am the cutest thing ever!!!! My whole entire family is grateful that they found Chesed Rescue. Bobbi was so nice to my family and made a wonderful choice to give me to them. I still have some bad habits but hey, I'm a puppy and I am getting trained and loving it. Thank you for keeping me until I was adopted. I know it was a lot of work for you but that is the kindness and warmth you gave me."

"Dear Bobbi and Caleb and Alexa:
When did you sneak in here and replace our adorable puppy with this big dog? Mr. Rocco went for his first vet visit yesterday (Schumi went along for moral support and the complimentary treats). He weighs 22 lbs and is in perfect health, very solid and muscular. After his rabies shot and other vaccinations, the boys were exhausted and had to take a nap.
Schumi weighs 60 lbs and they remain inseparable, catching frogs and lizards, chasing armadillos and squirrels and generally leading the good life."--Jim

"Dear Bobbi: I wanted to send a picture of Scruffy and give you an update. He is doing wonderfully and has completely adjusted to his new life and is such a GREAT DOG!!!!! Scruffy is doing very well .... joyful and full of love and energy, an intelligent and loving boy. He is completely housebroken and has been learning his commands.
On Friday we have our first obedience class. I am very excited.
"Ron and I cannot believe how much love and laughter Scruffy has brought to our lives. Ron ADORES him and we all go for our walks together. We are a family and Scruffy completes us.
Thank you for allowing us to have Scruffy and most of all for rescuing this wonderful dog. Thank you for having such a wonderful person like Nancy as a Foster Mom.
We just wanted to let you know that we are giving him the love, the life and home he deserves."
Blessings

"We just wanted to let you know that Buffy (Farrah) is doing great. She and we have adjusted to each other magnificently and it feels as if we have had her forever. She is as sweet as can be and is the darling of our neighborhood. And, we love her to pieces. We just wanted to thank you for bringing her into our lives."

"We adopted Shakespeare a few months ago. We named him Zizou when he came home with us.
I just wanted to send you a couple pictures of him and my other dog, Messi. We took the "Superheroes" one a couple of days ago (for Halloween). They are both adorable.
Thanks again for letting us bring Zizou to our home. He is such a sweet dog.
Alicia.

"Our little friend Molly (formerly Shayna) was adopted 2 years ago. She is truly the princess of the house.
She is wonderful with other dogs and loves children. Thank-you so much for our dear friend who we love dearly."

Daisy, (formerly Dutchess)
(pictured left)
"She’s such a dear and sweet little girl. She has fit into our family, canine and human, perfectly, we couldn’t ask for more. Daisy and Jake, our Bichon, spend countless hours chasing each other around the house and wrestling, they are usually pooped out by end of each day. They generate so much activity we had to increase the amount of food they get at each feeding! Daisy is simply just a bundle of joy and we feel privileged that Chesed Rescue placed her with us. "

Elaine adopted Kiwi (on right) a few years ago. Then in 2009 she adopted Zazi (formerly "Aliza"), another Chihuahua mix. They are an even pair at 8lbs each and are happy together in their love-filled home.
"I just wanted you to know that it has been 4 months since I was adopted. I LOVE my family! I am the happiest pooch on earth! I have a brother named Rocky who I play with all day long. We get tired from all the playing so we take naps together too. My mom and dad let me sleep in their bed. Rocky likes to sleep in his doggy bed. My mom and dad say that I am a very good girl and they're always telling me how much they love me. They have to older sons who come and visit once in awhile and they love me too. I know I'm a little spoiled, but I show them so much appreciation in the way I lick and snuggle them. I want to thank you so much for giving me to this family. They take such good care of me. I will forward you some pictures so you can see how much I've grown. I hope you can find other dogs great homes like you found me."
"I want to thank you for allowing us the privilege to adopt these two little guys. They have brought uncountable laughs and smiles into our home. My Husband and I are so happy that we had our chance meeting on that Saturday at Whole Foods. Clawed & Seymour are truly special and we love them dearly. They have the best personalities; sweet, affectionate, smart, playful. I've attached some "then and now" pictures so you can see how they've grown from adorable little babies to handsome growing boys. Thanks again to you and everyone at Chesed for everything."
Take care,
Diana :o)
"A quick hello from Cody (formally Bo) & his new family. All is well here. I was just wondering if Sis had been adopted. I do not see her listed on-line anymore ?? I hope she got a wonderful family.
Thanx Bobbi - hope all is well with the rescue animals"
"I am sending in an update on my Chihuahua, Honey. Formerly known as 'Blondie'. I adopted her in November, just a week before Thanksgiving, what a blessing! I love her dearly. Honey goes to work every day and has her favorite spot on my desk. We have taken her on many road trips and what a trooper. She has inherited 35 acres in North Carolina and has trekked the entire land. She has done two segments of the Appalachian Trail ( in her back pack ) with the family. This dog loves life and shows it to everyone. I have customers in our shop every day and they all say how much this dog impresses them. 'She is so happy, not like other Chi's' and I say RESCUE DOGS are just very grateful. We will always stay in touch to show our progress as she grow up.
"Attached are some pictures that I have take of her for you to post if you can. She has 2.5 acres to play in but her favorite outdoor thing is to jump out the doggie door and into the spouting catch and sun bath...haven't figured it out yet...let ya know on that one...lol. Much love and respect,"

"Just wanted to drop you a quick note to let you know that the kittens are getting along great! They have been sleeping with me and spend lots of time playing with each other. They adapted to their new surroundings much easier than I expected. I have attached a rare picture of them together - they are usually moving too quickly to snap a photo of the two of them together. By the way I named the black kitten Bruno (short for Brunello - one of my favorite italian wines). Thanks again for the opportunity to adopt these great boys!"

"Bubbi the puppy wants to grow up just like her sister (Teddi the cat). I adopted Bubbi when she was only 9 oz. and had to be fed every two hours. Now she's happy, healthy and I can't imagine life without her"
